About CareerPathMage

CareerPathMage is a career decision-support site for people in the United States who are already weighing a real choice: a salary versus an hourly job, two offers, a raise, a career switch, a commute, or an education program. It is not a job board, a scraped salary database, or an occupation encyclopedia.

Decision engine, not a content farm

A tool can report calculated facts: hourly equivalent, net offer value, years to break even. It cannot honestly declare that one career is “definitely better for you.” Fit, risk, and time stay in the decision-factor column.

Evidence and assumptions

Launch tools use the numbers you type. They do not invent official wages, employment growth, tuition, or graduate earnings. If a later page uses Bureau of Labor Statistics or College Scorecard data, that page must keep the source year visible and fail closed when a critical claim lacks support.

Launch catalog

The public catalog is intentionally small: 8 tools plus this site’s policy pages. Future occupation or degree pages stay draft until they have certified evidence.

What we do not do

We do not give personalized career, tax, legal, or financial advice. We do not scrape employer salary tables or publish unfinished “career A versus career B” pages. We do not ask you to create an account or upload documents.
